- 1Add the simple syrup and Angostura bitters to a rocks glass.
- 2Add the bourbon and one large ice cube.
- 3Stir for 30 seconds to chill and dilute.
- 4Express an orange twist over the glass, drop it in and add a cherry.
Bartender tip: Build it in the glass and stir patiently — the dilution from the ice is part of the recipe. A single large cube melts slower than several small ones.
