How to make a Sidecar· 3 min

  1. 1Rim a coupe with sugar and chill it.
  2. 2Add the cognac, Cointreau and lemon juice to a shaker.
  3. 3Fill with ice and shake for 10–12 seconds.
  4. 4Double strain into the prepared coupe and garnish with an orange twist.

Bartender tip: A VS or VSOP cognac is ideal — the older, pricier bottles are wasted behind the citrus.
