Most vodkas want to be invisible. Beluga Gold Line wants a ceremony. Each bottle is sealed with wax and comes with a small hammer and brush to break it open and tidy up afterwards.
Where to buy Beluga Gold Line
Prices from each store's own website. Delivery and member deals are noted where we know them.
What it tastes like
Very clean, very smooth, with a soft sweetness and a slightly creamy texture. It is the kind of vodka designed to be sipped ice-cold rather than drowned in mixer.
How it's made
It comes from the Mariinsk distillery in Siberia, founded in 1900. The spirit is filtered several times, including through quartz sand and silver, then rested for 90 days before bottling.
How to drink it
Straight from the freezer into a small chilled glass, ideally with something salty on the side. Or in a very serious Martini.
Quick questions
- Why does Beluga Gold Line come with a hammer?
- The cork is sealed with wax. The hammer cracks the seal and the brush sweeps away the crumbs — it is part of the serving ritual.
